I’ve spent over 25 years working in elite sport, helping athletes perform, stay available, and develop over the long term. MSc from world renowned University of Loughborough. Advisory Board member of LTAD Network.
My work has taken me across football, tennis, basketball, athletics and youth development, working with first teams, academies and international athletes. Across all environments, the challenge is the same, how to build robust, adaptable athletes who can meet the demands of modern sport.
I’m the creator of StrengthLab Superheroes, a progressive movement and strength programme now used by over a million young athletes worldwide. The aim is simple, give kids the physical foundations they need to enjoy sport, stay injury free, and fulfil their potential.
Alongside this, I write and speak about performance, injury risk and training through the Fatigue Index podcast and other media platforms, trying to make sports science practical, understandable and useful for coaches, players and parents.
I was awarded UKSCA Youth Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year, and my work has been featured in CNN, ESPN and The Times.
Philosophy
Strength is not just about lifting weights.
It’s about coordination, timing, sequencing, and the ability to transfer force through the whole body. The best athletes move well, react well, and can express strength in context.
My approach is built around that idea, developing athletes who are not just stronger, but more efficient, more resilient, and better able to perform when it matters.
